Katharina was the perfect hostess and welcomed us to her beautiful Guesthouse with style, class and elegant touches at every turn. She was waiting for us when we pulled up to the picturesque, plantation style home and personally showed us around the house. She was very helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries while staying at her lovely guesthouse.
The house was immaculate and well-appointed. She has thought of everything to make you feel comfortable, pampered even. Each room is outfitted with just the right kind of furniture, essentials and luxuries to make the stay truly welcoming and enjoyable. The home was incredibly clean and had all the modern amenities one could hope for. The kitchen had everything one would need (or want!) to cook meals and grill out.
The pictures are true to what we experienced but they could not begin to capture how the beautiful sunrises and sunsets make the front porch glow with the most amazing light, or the way the perfect cross breeze blows through your hair and whisks away your stress. The horses grazing in the backyard throughout the day make the perfect backdrop to the most relaxing atmosphere. Perfection.
The pool was a short 2 minute walk through an adorable path in the woods, over a small bridge and beyond a stately gate. It was the perfect temperature, always available and crystal clear. My children were in heaven! We had lunch a few times on the patio furniture around the pool, taking in the farm life atmosphere and view.

HEAVEN IN WEST GEORGIA! – The Welcome Farm is a wonderful retreat! My son and I experienced two days of beauty, serenity, relaxation. The guesthouse is spacious, comfortable, and sparkling clean. It has all the amenities you could ask for….and more, including a fully equipped kitchen, videos and games for indoor entertainment, furnished back deck, outdoor gas grill, and terrific front porch. In the evening and early mornings, wildlife and the farm’s animals are just a few steps away. The pool and horse barns are a short stroll down a wooded path. The owners, Katharina and Klaus and family, are gracious hosts. They try to meet every need and desire. We went into Carrollton to eat at Samba Loca, one of Katharina’s favorite restaurants, and had a delicious lunch. GOLFERS PARADISE – PERFECT HORSE VACATION SPOT: After looking for a long, long time we found the perfect spot for my husband and myself. We are avid golfers and found many beautiful courses within half an hour to forty minutes away. The courses are so much nicer than those in Atlanta open to the public. It was such a pleasant surprise! And the best part of this wonderful Welcome Farm is that they not only welcomed us, but our two horses as well. We found 3 different horse parks within 40 minutes. It is hard to find this combination at a reasonable price with such great accommodations. The horses received wonderful care and the house was everything it was advertised to be…..beautifully appointed, immaculate and spacious. We all were so very comfortable and happy here. And, of course, we could get in to Atlanta in an hour and see what we wanted to see without having to stay in the city. The countryside was lovely and so peaceful! Our grandkids came for a visit and fell in love with the place. They safely roamed all over the property and just enjoyed the fresh air and all the critters. We have just left this amazing farmhouse after a 4 night stay. We are a family of five and have very young children. The farmhouse was perfect. Katharina and Klaus were so welcoming and friendly. They couldn’t do enough for us and when we arrived the house was set up with fresh flowers and fresh fruit. The house has everything we needed and is in such a beautiful relaxing setting. We took a day trip to Atlanta to visit the aquarium and it was a very easy drive. I would highly recommend this farmhouse. My children didn’t want to leave and are saying they miss the house already! After 14hrs travelling from the UK it was great to finally reach Welcome Farm, our first port of call on our travels. It would be easy to write lots of glowing reviews on how good this place is, but that would not really do it justice. Katharina & Klaus are perfect hosts (the fresh fruit & chocolates were lovely) with an outstanding property which is immaculately kept. The pool was an ideal chillin’ place which the kids loved. Fantastic Vacation Spot! We rented the guest house at the Welcome Farm and it was everything we could have hoped for. The house was lovely and the location was both peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the fact that we could easily go to Atlanta for the attractions we were interested in, but that we don’t have to stay IN Atlanta. During our week stay we enjoyed visiting with the horses, swimming at the pool and making use of the fire pit. The flowers, fresh fruit an chocolates were a wonderful and thoughtful touch on our arrival. I would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a place to stay in the Atlanta area stay in the guest house at the Welcome Farm! We will absolutely come back if we are ever in the area again!! What a perfect location for our family to stay for a nearby wedding! Our two boys loved exploring around the property, feeding the horses grass that they picked from the side of the road, and relaxing in the basement to watch a family movie. My boyfriend and I stayed over Valentine’s Day weekend and were welcomed by Katharina when we arrived. And since it was Valentine’s Day, she had taken the time to provide fresh flowers, chocholates and a Valentine balloon which we are saving as a keepsake. The house was immaculate and quiet which is just what we were looking for. There are plenty of things to do around the area including zip lining and visiting nearby small towns. Plus, there is plenty of rolling hills to wander about for a walk and enjoy all the four legged friends on the property. My friends and I rented this property for a birthday getaway. I wish I could keep this to myself. This house is just as amazing as the photos make it if not more. My best friend fell in love with one of their dogs Buddy who was so sweet. The listing was completely accurate and the house was spotless when we arrived. The owner is just amazing. She was very pleasant and was extremely accommodating. They even provide a manual for using items around the house and a list of restaurants which came in handy. We fell in love with this house and will be back again in 6 months. It was that amazing and a remarkable experience.

Welcome Farm is aptly named. we arrived for our anniversary celebration and were greeted with fresh flowers, fruit and other thoughtful touches from Katharina which made us feel very much at home. This home was the perfect get-a-way for our wedding anniversary. It is nestled in a cozy quiet countryside. The huge yard was perfect for our ‘city’ dog to run and play (and see a horse for the first time!) . The small shaded creek beside the house made for a lovely morning or afternoon stroll. Each day was a new adventure! Katharina was an amazing host. She made herself available for anything. The only downside was that we had to leave!
